Judging

“Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:3 NRSV)
It is so hard to not judge ourselves or others.  I know I am guilty of focusing on other people’s faults before acknowledging my own.  That is just unloving and unkind.  Who am I to judge someone else?  No one.  It is not my place to consider other’s shortcomings.  But it is my place to recognize my own faults and seek to be changed into a more loving child of God.
Jesus does not judge.  Jesus accepts everyone as they are and loves them no matter what, and so should I.  Jesus came to draw souls to His Father through love and forgiveness.  And, I need to follow His example and be a blessing to others.
