Do not be Idle or Disruptive

"And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone." (1 Thessalonians 5:14)

When we are idle we are focused on ourselves and we are not moving forward in a spirit of love and charity.  When idle we open our hearts and minds to allowing Satan to play mind games with us.  He tries to convince us that we are perfectly fine doing nothing and that we need not do things in service to others which of course is a lie.

If we are disruptive we believe what we think is right is THE WAY to resolve an issue, behave in a given situation, or get something done.  We can be arrogant in how we think and behave.  When being disruptive we are being driven by pride and we are most definitely not moving in God's Spirit.  When we are disruptive we stir up anger, confusion, frustration, unrest.  All these things cause conflict and hurt.

God calls all of us to move forward in charity.  To allow Him to lead us and guide us in our lives.  He calls us to be sources of love, hope, and encouragement for others.  He calls us to be His presence in the world, to be kind, patient, peaceful and joyous - to live and move in His Spirit.

Prayer:

Lord, I am sorry for the times when I have been idle or disruptive.  I do not want to walk in arrogance and pride.  Instead, I want to be a source of love, hope and encouragement to others. Help me be the most loving person I can be.  Amen.

The Holy Spirit

"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness." (Romans 8:26)

God's Spirit is a Spirit of courage and strength.  His Spirit fills us with all that we need when we are weak and open to allow His power be manifest within us.  When we humble ourselves before God and acknowledge the weakness of our flesh God is able to bless us with the fullness of His power and move with majesty in us and through us.  If we allow God to be our strength and turn to Him, depending on Him to carry us, he will bless us with His loving mercy and strength so that we can walk in the power of His Spirit.  Let's trust in Him and have peace in our spirits and lives.

Prayer:

Lord, I humble myself before You and ask You to pour forth Your Spirit upon me.  Bless me with the grace, strength and courage I need to live my life.  I give You all my weaknesses and ask You to turn them to strengths in Your love.  Thank You, Lord.  Amen.

The Inner Self

"Rather, let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious to God." (1 Peter 3:4)

God does not focus on what is on the outside but only on the inner person. He looks for hearts that are loving and kind, souls that is holy and filled with grace, and minds that are wise and understanding.  It is what is on the inside that determines who we are and how we choose to behave. So, let's focus on our hearts, minds and souls and give ourselves entirely to the Lord so that He can mold and shape us into His image and likeness.  If we entrust all of who we are to Him we will be truly blessed and joyful.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to focus my attention on what is inside my heart, mind and soul.  I want to be pleasing to You.  Help me to entrust all of who I am to You so that You can mold and shape me into Your image and likeness. Amen.

Offering of the Precious Blood

The Wise Child

"A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother." (Proverbs 10:1)

A child who lives a life centered in God brings great joy to his earthly father as well as his heavenly Father.  But a child who is foolish and lives only according to the flesh brings sorrow to his earthly mother and his heavenly Mother.

It is far better to live a life of love centered on doing the will of God than one in which you only chase after earthly treasure and human acceptance.  When you live according to God's will you have clarity, understanding and wisdom. When you live according to the flesh you have more anxiety, concerns, and difficulties.  You may gain acceptance and riches but they are short lived. They do not last forever as heavenly riches do.

Seek heaven in all that you do and be pleasing to your heavenly Mother and Father and bring joy to your earthly mother and father.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me be a wise child and seek to do Your will as well as pursue those things You desire for me to accomplish in the world.  I wish to bring joy to You and to my heavenly Mother as well as my earthly parents.  Thank You for Your love and care.  Amen.

Blood of Jesus, Help Me!

Blood of Jesus, Help Me!
In every need let me come to You with humble trust saying
Blood of Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Blood of Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your grace alone can assist me,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender love as my Father and Savior,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
Always, always in spite of weakness, falls and shortcomings, of every kind,
Blood of Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Redeemed and Called

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine." (Isaiah 43:1)

God has indeed called each one of us by name and will continue to invite all people to enter into the fullness of His love.  We are His beloved children.

Jesus came for all.  He came to bring life, light and love to all mankind.  He loves everyone and wishes to be loved by all.  He gave Himself over for love of us.  He suffered, died, and rose for love of all of us. There is no soul for whom He did not sacrifice Himself.  He gave Himself for all.

We need not fear.  Jesus has indeed redeemed us.  In His infinite mercy Jesus has forgiven our every sin.  In His love He has called each of us to Himself.  He loves us and desires for us to walk as one body, one Spirit in Him.  To do so means that we walk in faith, hope, love and joy.  Faith In God, hope in all He has promised, love for ourselves and others, and joy that we have been forgiven and set free. Let us walk as one body doing God's will through the power of His Spirit.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for redeeming me.  Thank You for calling me into the fullness of Your love. Thank You for blessing me with peace, hope and joy.  I love You.  Amen.

Being Faithful

"But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life." (Jude 1:20)

If we keep ourselves rooted in the Holy Spirit and allow the fruits of the Spirit to be manifest in our lives we will have every gift and grace we need to be faithful and true to God and to His Church.  If we are firmly rooted in God's love we will have the courage and strength we need to daily pick up our cross and follow Him, trusting and hoping in all that He has promised.  If we are faithful to God, and do His will, we will advance in faith and wisdom.  And, if we humble ourselves before God, He will, in time, lift us up to rest in His eternal peace and joy because He loves us.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to stay firmly rooted in Your love and in Your Holy Spirit. Allow the gifts and fruits of Your Spirit to be manifest in my life for Your honor and glory.  Help me to stay humble before You always. Amen.

Chaplet of the Precious Blood for the souls in Purgatory
This is prayed on an ordinary rosary.
On the large beads:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Precious Blood of Your Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb without blemish or spot for the refreshment and deliverance of the souls in Purgatory.  (You can add here, especially those of my family, of forgotten souls, or any other group of souls.)
On the small beads:
By Your Precious Blood, O Jesus, purify and deliver their souls.
Conclude with:
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.  And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.   Amen.

Parent’s Prayer to St. Ann

Dear St. Ann, help me to be a better parent to my children.  Help me to have patience with them when they behave badly, are disrespectful, or thoughtless.  Give me the strength to accept them as they are and love them through their struggles and disappointments.  Help me to guide them lovingly to a personal relationship with God and by my example keep them faithful to the Church.  Keep me from speaking to them harshly, judging them, or criticizing them for their choices.  Please help me to be a good example to them in all that I say and do.  Thank you, St. Ann, for your prayers of intercession on my behalf.  Amen.

Faith

"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'" (Psalm 53:2)

I believe that God exists.  If God id not exist, how would we explain creation from it's inception?  How would we explain the ordering of nature?  How would we explain love and every other emotion man is capable of experiencing?  How would we explain that there are things we just cannot comprehend?  How would we explain miracles, faith, and grace?  How would we explain the innate need to reach out to something greater than ourselves, a higher power?

God gives us all the gift of free will.  We can choose to believe or not believe.  Either we choose to embrace the gift of faith or not.  It is that simple.
God gives everyone the ability to believe.  He gives each person countless opportunities to experience His love and presence.  He desires for all creation to know Him and praise Him, to embrace Him and glorify Him.

God does not force faith upon anyone.  He leaves each person free to choose to acknowledge Him, turn to Him, embrace Him, and grow to know and love Him.  He waits patiently always giving opportunities for acknowledgment of His existence and infinite love.

Believe.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for the gift of faith.  I thank You for Your love for me. I thank You for all that You have created.  May I always walk in Your love.  Amen.

Act of Thanksgiving through the Precious Blood

Act of Thanksgiving through the Precious Blood
Accept, O most merciful God, the Sacrifice of Your Son, in thanksgiving for all the benefits You have granted me.
You have created me in Your own image and likeness. You have redeemed me with Your Son’s Precious Blood. You have called me to the true faith, and preserved me from eternal death, which I so often deserved for my sins. What return shall I make You for these and all Your favors?

I offer You Your only Son, Who offered His lifeblood on the altar this morning, uniting my little sacrifices with His great sacrifice; and thus I am able to make a real thanksgiving for all the blessings You have bestowed on me and on all mankind.  Amen.

Temptation

"God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

In every situation, in every temptation, God provides the way to truth and peace.  He is always with us.  So, when temptations abound, let us turn to Him and find refuge and strength.  He will provide us with every grace we need to withstand temptation and turn away from sin.  When we turn to Him we will find that we have peace in knowing right from wrong and the courage to choose to do that which is good and holy.  God loves us and wants us to trust Him in every situation that arises, especially when we are being tempted.  In His mercy He will bless us with His peace and love.

Prayer:

Lord help me to turn to You when I am tempted.  Help me to surrender all my temptations to You so that Your Spirit can lead me in courage to make the most loving choices.  I want to honor You always.  Amen.
In times of temptation, invoke the Divine Blood.

God Provides

"Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on." (Luke 12:22)

Do not be anxious about anything.  Anxiety is of the flesh and when we are anxious we are moving in the flesh not in the Spirit.

God's love is greater than any need we have.  He knows what we need before we do and provides everything we need so that we can be at peace and have joy.  He provides us with every material, relational, and spiritual gift.  There is nothing we will need if we walk in the fullness of God's love.

All material, spiritual and relational aspects of our lives  fall into their correct place when we allow God to provide for us and do our part to cooperate with Him.  If we place God first every good thing will be ours. How could it not?  God loves us.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to trust that You will provide for my every material, spiritual, and relational need.  I believe You know what I need and what is best for me.  Help me to cooperate with You and move in Your Spirit.  Thank You, Lord.  Amen.

Psalm 25:1

Trust in God

"In you, Lord my God, I put my trust." (Psalm 25:1)

Do you really trust God?  Do you place every wish, care, concern, issue, or problem in His hands?  Do you give all to Him trusting that He cares for you and desires every good thing for you?

Trust God.  Entrust everything to Him.  Allow Him to bless you and fill you with His love and grace.  He does love you and want every good thing for you.  Know that and be at peace.

Prayer:

Lord, I do trust in You.  I give You everything I hope for, desire, and am concerned about.  I know You love me and only want what's best for me.  I place myself totally in Your hands.  I love You.  Amen.

Do not be Distressed

Do not allow yourself to be distressed.  Torment of heart and mind are not from God.  Do not allow yourself to be disturbed by the evil one.  His greatest desire is to have you take your eyes off of God and place them on the yourself, the world and its problems and in so doing lose your peace.  He wants to upset you and draw you further and further away from God.  He will try to convince you that you have no hope and that there is no way out of your distress.  But he is a liar and a cheat.   The truth is that Jesus is is the Way and He is your peace.  He loves you and wants you to rest in the fullness of His love when you are distressed.  He doesn't want you feel anxious or upset.  He wants you to place your worries in His hands and allow Him to take them from you and bless you with His peace.

If you have been rebellious know that God loves you and desires to pour out His mercy upon you and forgive your every sin.  Turn to Him and find freedom, grace and calm.  Do not be disturbed.  God is with you always and knows all.  You cannot hide from Him.  In your weakness and brokenness He loves you.  Turn to Him and be at peace.  Reconcile yourself to Him and Satan will flee from you.  Trust in God's love and mercy and rest in Him.  He loves you.

Prayer:

Lord, I give You all that disturbs me, all that upsets me.  Bless me with Your peace and help me to always trust in Your love for me.  Amen.

Be Generous

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." (Proverbs 11:25)

Those who give generously without counting the cost do prosper.  By being generous with their love, time, talents, and riches they bring blessings upon themselves and those they love.  By freely giving with love they open themselves to the fullness of God's generosity.  In God's love they shall have all they need and then some.  They shall want for nothing.

Being a blessing to others is a way to share in God's goodness and love.  Let's always give, always love and embrace fully the abundant blessings God bestows upon us.

Prayer:

Lord, may I be someone who gives freely of my time, talents, love and riches.  I want to be a blessing to others.  I want to be a gift of Your love at all times.  Thank You for all You give to me. Amen.
Oh Lord!  When I begin speaking about the divine Blood, I feel my soul experiencing a special emotion. This is the most tender attestation of God's love.  Oh what a treasure this salutary devotion is. I would like to have a thousand tongues to draw every heart tenderly to it, and I wish that my own soul would be totally penetrated with it.

Be Reconciled

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Nothing gives Jesus greater joy than to pour out His mercy and love through forgiveness.  He lived to teach love, died in love to forgive, and rose to reconcile all to His Father in heaven.

When we turn to Jesus to be reconciled He immediately blesses us with His forgiveness.  When we come to Him in the sacrament of Reconciliation He blesses us with forgiveness and cleanses us through the power of His Precious Blood which was shed for us.

Know that Jesus waits patiently for us to give Him all that could keep us from Him, from His love.  He desires peace for us because He loves us.  Let's turn to Him, be reconciled, and have peace.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for shedding Your Precious Blood for me.  I want to give everything I am to You. Draw me to Yourself in Reconciliation so that I can walk in Your forgiveness and peace.  Thank You, Lord.  Amen.

Walk in the Spirit

"Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." (Romans 8:5)

Are you living according to the flesh or according to the Spirit?

Let's live in accord with God's Spirit and allow the gifts of His Spirit to be manifest in our lives.  As the gifts of God's Spirit manifest the fruits of His Spirit will be evident.  Let's walk in the light and power, strength and wisdom of the Spirit.  Let's allow the Spirit of God to draw us closer and closer to Jesus and into conformity with the Father's will for our lives.  As God's Spirit leads us in hope and joy we will walk in the way of God's love and be at peace.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to not walk in the flesh, but to walk in Your Spirit of truth and love.  May I allow Your Spirit to lead me and guide me to union with You.  Amen.
It is, therefore, the divine Blood that will placate the divine eternal Father, that will purify our hearts and will inebriate us with love for Jesus who loved us, and washed us in his blood.

Proofs Come Today!!!

So final proofs should arrive today for A Healing Rosary.  If all is good, and there are no evident errors, it will be available on Amazon by Monday in print format.  It will be $11.95.  I am so thrilled to finally be getting the print version out there.  Please check it out and buy it.  And, spread the word it’s available.  It will only start selling by word-of-mouth.  So please help me out in that area.  THANKS!!!  (No marketing team here.)
The book is available on Kindle already for $6.99…if you have an ipad/iphone, you can get the Kindle app which allows you to buy e-books from Amazon/Kindle and read them on your ipad or iphone.
I will announce as soon as the print book is actually on Amazon for sale.
This process is lengthy, but I am so excited to be writing again.  It’s been years and I forgot how much work goes into a book.
I am currently working on a new book which will be in both formats and is a small book to take to Mass or Adoration.  It will be filled with beautiful prayers of love, adoration, and hope to be said after Communion and in front of the Blessed Sacrament.  I am having so much fun finding old, gorgeous prayers that haven’t been seen for years and new prayers that people have written and posted.  I think it will be a great aide for time in front of the Eucharistic Lord.

Do Not Be Jealous

"Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong." (Psalm 37:1)

Many who do wrong have a great deal in this world.  For many of them riches abound and earthly treasures are great.  But let's not be jealous or envious of them.  They have already received their reward and it shall be short lived.  Let's not look at what others have stored up in this world, instead let's recognize that many have forsaken God for earthly gain.

The Lord desires hearts and souls that place Him first above all things, who desire eternity with Him in heaven.  He desires unison with His people.   He wants to dwell in our hearts and souls and for us to live and move and have our being in Him.  He loves us and blesses us continually with His love and mercy.

So let's not concern ourselves with what we have or what others have, only with what God desires of us so that we can be with Him forever in heaven.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help me to not be jealous of others.  Instead, help me to focus on how well I am loving You and allowing You to love through me.  Amen.

Eternal Joy

"For this light momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison." (2 Corinthians 4:17)

Every affliction is an opportunity to grow in faith, hope and wisdom.  Every affliction is a stepping stone towards heaven.  If we join our every suffering to the Lord's for the benefit of souls on earth and in Purgatory we will grow in love and understanding.  Let us join our afflictions to His and assist Him in blessing souls.  When we offer our pain to the Lord our pain will be eased and His peace will be ours.

The glory that awaits us in heaven is beyond our wildest imaginings.  It is greater than our most joy filled moment.  May we be patient and know that what awaits us is worth every pain we will ever feel. Eternal joy, eternal peace, eternal love.  That is what awaits us.  May we know this and have joy.

Prayer:

Lord, I offer You every pain I will ever suffer for You to use to bless souls.  Let me share in Your redemptive joy and in so doing be a blessing to others.  Thank You for the gift of eternal life. May I attain it and be with You forever in heaven.  Amen.

There is nothing more holy in this world than to work for the good of souls, for whose salvation Jesus Christ poured out the last drops of His blood.

Faith Through Love

"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." (Galatians 5:6)

If you truly believe, your faith will be expressed through love.  In love and through love you will be a blessing to those around you.  God's presence within you will be evident and you will draw souls to Him simply by being.  No words need be spoken.  Your actions, expressed in love, will bear fruit and you will have peace.  Do all with Love and in Love.

Prayer:

Lord, may my every action be in You and through You.  May Your love shine forth from within me drawing others to You.  Amen.
When we pray, the voice of the heart must be heard more than that proceeding from the mouth.

Trust in the Lord

"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in him." (Nahum 1:7)

When our hearts and minds are troubled we should turn to the Lord.  We should tell Him what burdens us and share with Him all that concerns us. He wants us to talk to Him and entrust all our cares to Him. He loves us and wants to bless us with His mercy.  He desires for us to enter into His Sacred Heart and find rest for our weary souls.  He wants to fill us with every gift and grace His Spirit bestows.  The Lord cares for us immensely and wishes for us to have peace and to find rest in Him.   If we listen for His voice in the quiet of our hearts He will bless us by telling us of His love for us and fill us with His peace.  May we truly entrust all to Him and find refuge.

Prayer:

Lord, Jesus, may I always turn to You when my heart, mind and soul are troubled.  May I trust all my cares to You and take up rest within Your Sacred Heart.  Bless me with Your peace and love. Amen.
He opened up for us in his most sacred wounds four founts: a fount of mercy, a fount of peace, a fount of devotion, a fount of love and summons all to quench their thirst there.

BE RECONCILED

"I said, ‘I confess my transgressions to the Lord,’ and you forgave the guilt of my sin." (Psalm 32:5)

How true that the Lord forgives our sins and remembers them no more once confessed.  In Reconciliation He cleanses us of our sins and blesses us with restored grace.  We should turn to Him often and seek His forgiveness.  It awaits us and is there for us.  It is the Lord’s joy to pour forth His mercy and love and forgive every transgression.  There is nothing He will not forgive.

As soon as we sin, we should turn to Jesus because He will forgive us.  If we come to Him in Reconciliation He will wipe our souls clean.  He loves us and wishes for us to walk in His grace with peace and joy, wisdom and understanding.

Prayer:

Lord, when I sin help me to turn immediately to You for forgiveness. Inspire me to go to the sacrament of Reconciliation often so I can walk in Your grace.  Thank You, Lord.  Amen.

Temptation

"Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted." (Hebrews 2:18)

Jesus knows the pain of temptation.  He knows the struggle to choose love.  He knows how we question what is the right thing to do.  He was tempted and He knows well the torment that comes with temptation.

But Jesus have overcome every temptation.  He has redeemed us and set us apart.  We have been called to walk in His love with the wisdom of His Spirit guiding us and He has given us angels to guard and protect us from evil.

We need not struggle when we are tempted.  Instead, let's offer the temptation to Jesus as a precious gift for souls in need so that He can fill us with the conviction of His Spirit and draw us to Himself and away from harm.  When we do this He will bless us with wisdom and understanding so that we can stand strong in grace and not fall into sin.

Should we fall into sin, Jesus' love and forgiveness await us.  Let's not be further tempted to turn away from Him.  Instead, let us turn to Him so He can bless us with His mercy and forgiveness because He loves us.

Jesus knows every way in which Satan will try to tempt us.  Know that Satan has no power over us.  May we keep our eyes on Jesus when we are tempted and trust that He will keep us safe from all harm.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for redeeming me.  Thank You for blessing me with the strength and wisdom of Your Spirit.  Thank You for Your love and mercy.  When I am tempted, help me to turn to You and find safety for You have overcome all evil.  Amen.
The offering of the Precious Blood is of infinite efficacy.  It begs remission for past sins or rather exacts it; It is a remedy against future sin; It returns thanks for all graces general or personal; It procures help from on high and brings comfort to the living and the dead.

Things Above

"Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." (Colossians 3:2)

Every day we should focus our attention on attaining heaven.  If our hearts, minds and souls are occupied with the desire to obtain heaven we will walk in God's grace and love.  It is in His grace and love that we will find direction for our earthly lives.

God desires good things for us.  He desires our happiness.  He desires that we be His presence in the world.

If we listen in the quiet of our hearts He will reveal Himself to us.  He will reveal His will for us and bless us with peace.  If we are engaged in carrying out God's will for our lives we will be focused on attaining eternal life in heaven which is His ultimate will for us.

Prayer:

Lord, may my heart, mind, and soul be focused on Your will for my life at all times.  May I do what You call me to do in this life so that I can be with You forever in heaven.  Amen.
