He Must Increase

God must increase and we must decrease.  It is not for our own glory that we love and honor God, but for His.  When God moves in our lives and it is acknowledged by others and we are praised our immediate response should be it’s not me it’s God’s doing.  The attention should be deflected away from us and placed where it belongs, on God.  This is easier said than done.  It is hard to let someone else be praised when we do something good or well.  But the truth is, there is nothing we can do outside of God.  If we wish to do anything with God we must become minute so that God is seen and glorified.  It’s never about us.  It’s always about God.  It’s always about His will, His love being manifest in the world.  So let’s become so small and insignificant that through us God’s love is seen in action and like John’s our joy may be complete.
