Trials

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith brings perseverance." (James 1:2)

Trials and tribulations are gifts in disguise that help us grow in patience, strength, courage, and charity.  There are countless lessons to be had if we are open to growing through our struggles.  As we pick up our cross, embrace it with love, offering it to God with hope, God blesses and strengthens us in His mercy and love.  Through God's Spirit we are given the grace and courage to persevere joyfully, trusting fully in God's providence.  

As we embrace each trial God blesses us with wisdom and understanding and the trial becomes a stepping stone to a closer, more intimate relationship with God.  God loves us and always gives us everything we need to withstand any trial.  He wants us to know and experience the fullness of His love at all times, especially when we feel weak or overwhelmed.

May we embrace the trials in our lives and see them as opportunities to grow in love, joy, courage, patience, trust and hope.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to see every trial as a gift from You.  May each one be an opportunity for me to come to know and trust in You completely.  I want to joyfully accept all that happens in my life and lovingly offer You all that I am at all times.  Embrace me and fill me with Your love and peace.  Thank You, Lord.  Amen.
