Wisdom

"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." (James 3:17)

The wisdom that God pours out upon us through the power of His Spirit enlightens our hearts and minds and fills us with humility, peace, and love. It is pure and full of grace.  Wisdom blesses, strengthens, and fortifies us, so that as we go about our day we walk in God's love and compassion. Through His Spirit, God fills our minds with wonder and understanding, with knowledge of His will for us.  

God's wisdom is peace-loving.  It teaches us to be humble and submissive to Him.  It helps us to be considerate of all and sincere and merciful in our interactions.  It will lead us and guide us to the fullness of God's love for ourselves and others. 

Prayer:

Lord, I open my heart, mind, and soul to the power of Your Spirit.  In Your love, pour forth Your wisdom upon me.  Enlighten me and help me to be fully submissive to You.  Help me to be considerate, sincere, merciful and compassionate.  Amen.
